Motivation is high at the moment and I’ve been working on some cool projects for the past few weeks. Some of them are still in the work but it’s time to announce the first batch.
Adventure Advisers
I’m now available to help you plan your next holiday! With Shauna, a fellow traveler I met in Florianopolis, we are starting Adventure Advisers, an itinerary and travel guide creation service. We are not a travel agency but we can help you plan an amazing trip using our extensive travel experience.
This is a project I’ve had in mind for quite a well and I’m happy to finally put it in the open. I believe that travel agencies are becoming out of fashion. People are looking to travel differently, more independently and are turning towards blogs and travel websites to organize their next holiday. A gap now exists between doing everything by yourself or going to a travel agency which only sells packaged deals. I think we are in a good situation to fill this gap because of our experience.
Tours in the southwest of France
I’m also launching two experiments to measure the demand for adventure and private tours in the southwest of France. I spend some time building a great two weeks itinerary to visit this beautiful region which is too often ignore in favor of the southeast.
The first one, South West France Adventures, targets a younger audience. Inspired by G Adventures, which unfortunately do not cover this part of France, it is a group trip which mixes fun, culture and nature.
The second one, South West France Intimate, targets the luxury market with a private offering and high-end accommodations.
I will measure interest during the next few months and, depending on the results, will decide what to do.
